Izaya.. the one who watches over the crowd As the name suggests, Izaya gives to Mumbai its first RobataThai dining experience, a coming together over food and conversation Centered on the popular three-tiered Japanese ‘robatayaki’ grill, Izaya combines essentially Thai and Malay flavours with local produce and undiscovered heroes to create innovative food in a relaxing, elegant ambience. The robata grills will be a visual experience that can be enjoyed by patrons in larger or smaller groups with personal attention. Following the world trend for freshly cooked, premium produce ala minute, the robata grill stations at Izaya are sizzling with great meats, seafood, vegetables and more. A culinary theatre and an interactive dining experience are just some of the aspects of this intuitive new brand from Catering & Allied, owned and created by Chef Farrokh Khambata who has given Mumbai long standing winners such as Joss, Rampart Row, Umame, and of course the popular Amadeus and the Café at the NCPA. Izaya becomes a part of this magnificent space, touching the Arabian Sea. An extremely popular lounge and party venue addressing a wide audience of Mumbai’s hip crowd and social set, the venues of the Café, bar and party lounge offer a wide variety of cuisine from the Catering and Allied kitchens which include Indian, Asian and European cuisine. In true Farrokh style there is always a vast offering for vegetarians as he has always felt to give a great variety, with flair to vegetarianism.
